About the Sacramento Region Community Foundation:

The Sacramento Region Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1983 to help people connect with the causes they care about.  Individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and others give money or assets (such as real estate or stocks) to the Sacramento Region Community Foundation.  The donations can then do one of two things:  1) contribute to an existing charitable fund, or 2) create a new charitable fund.  When establishing a fund, the Foundation helps each person define a charitable mission, choose the most appropriate philanthropic vehicle, research local charities, monitor the impact of grants, maximize the tax advantages of giving, and perpetuate philanthropic ideals for years to come.  The Sacramento Region Community Foundation manages all tax, legal, and administrative details, leaving people free to focus on the rewards of giving.
